So I’m a few months behind, but I just figured out why John Kerry(check out the photo) wigs me out so much: he reminds me of Herman Munster. (I found that posting and picture when doing an image search on Google for Herman Munster, looking for something to substantiate my claim.)

No more Iowa

Hopefully this link will work. Made me pretty mad.

This figures. Now that I’m done driving to Iowa every other weekend, I’d be able to check my email at rest stops.

Speaking of which, yes, I’m done with that. I’m flying back out there next weekend to move Laure to Indiana, but I won’t have to drive my car any farther than the airport until September 10th, when I drive home for the wedding. Maybe I’ll finally be able to catch up on my sleep.

This last weekend I drove out there to move all of her stuff out here. The Vue was packed floor to ceiling. We managed to get almost everything that we needed to in there. There was just one box and a papasan frame that didn’t make it. I think we did pretty well.

drive home today, starting after work. should put me arriving tomorrow morning. it’s going to be a busy weekend. the events around ian’s wedding are sure to be fun, though. then it’s drive back on monday, with laure riding with me till iowa. that’ll be good. just one more trip to iowa for me. it seems a little off that things will be easier when laure is actually further away, but then she’ll be in driving distance of real airports, not des moines international, which is only technically an airport, since it has a big strip of concrete and a place for planes to pull up to unload passengers.

added a countdown timer. it’s buggy, i know. i have more important bugs to squash right now.

know what’s causing that. what i don’t know is why the minutes change
at second 30! that’s what i get for trying to heavily modify a script that someone else wrote.)

i’ve been looking for a good free tool for my mac to stitch together
pictures to make a panoramic. no luck so far. found one that i was
pleased with until it decided to recrop the thing and give me no way to
fix it.

Going to the Flaming Gorge National Monument this weekend.

Maybe I’ll remember the camera and maybe I’ll remember to use it and maybe I’ll remember to post said pictures here.

This was a great week. Laure was out for 10 days. It has been amazing.

Unfortunately we leave in 15 minutes to take her to the airport since she has to go back to Iowa.
