  • installed Panther on the iMac. Not only is it not bringing the iMac to a crawl (like 10.2.6 and higher did), it is freaking awesome. expose rules. i’ve never had so much fun doing something as mundane as saving an image to the desktop and then setting it to be my aim icon. it’s impossible to explain – it simply must be witnessed.

oh yeah, and the analog->DV converter works! i was able to import the skydiving video. now to replace the techno the skydiving place used and get it on the web.

  • i had little kids hiding behind their parents and whimpering with my costume today. bwa ha ha ha ha.

  • Bwa ha ha ha ha

  • With us doing crap like this, we deserve to die.

What the hell is wrong with us?

  • Gemini on the trail (from about 2 months ago):

Gemini feels the same way about the phone as I do:

  • hockey update:
We won 5-0 tonight. Excellent game. This team’s first shutout. I told the goalie that next time we’ll keep the shots on goal down in the single digits. At one point he went 13 minutes straight without having to do anything in this 50 minute game. Very cool. We are now 3-2 for the session.

Forgot about the time change this morning. I really think that most of the state of Indiana has it right with respect to this Daylight Savings Time felgecarb. Now the daggit is going to start waking me up at 6am instead of 7.

Yes, I have been watching too much Battlestar Galactica. Soon I will understand their time measurements. I think I spent several hundred centons on the show this weekend. (“Not only are the trains running on time, they’re running on metric time.” – Principal Skinner) Fun show. Looking forward to the mini-series even though I think I won’t like it.

Was anyone else hoping for an alternate ending to 28 Days Later that had the jet drop a bomb in the middle of their big sign?

Ordered a different analog->DV converter. Hopefully I’ll be able to put the skydiving video up soon.

  • let’s get the ROCK out of here.

ah, the joys of def leppard, brought to us by the “rockography”.

there hasn’t been a whole lot going on other than a lot of starcraft. sweet, sweet starcraft. just got done with a big game.

    let’s get, let’s get, let’s get, let’s get ROCKED!

    talk about clever songwriting

oh yeah, and it’s been 85 degrees the last couple days. that’s the high, at least. the low has been closer to 45.

a brilliant idea that i was going to write about occured to me in the shower the other day. unfortunately it didn’t last past “repeat”. stoopid old age.

i guess a ROCK is out of the question?

  • I just did my nightly scan of google news to make sure all the continents were still there. After reading the latest headlines about Iraq and Iran, I remembered a joke I made back in high school. Something about taking over the world being the only way to solve the world’s problems.

If I weren’t so cynical, I probably would have cried.

  • This was posted in an internal newsgroup at work today in a rather esoteric context which will not be interesting to most. I found it to be amusing, though. I post it here without attempting to verify the accuracy or source of the quote.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be
understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before.
